Students at the Annual Conference

NCSE encourages undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the NCSE Annual Conferences. Below are a number of reasons why students should attend the NCSE 2020 Annual Conference.

Student Focused Session - NCSE 2020 will include sessions specifically for students and sessions by students. Stay tuned for more information about sessions at NCSE 2020.

Networking Opportunities - The Annual Conference brings together hundreds of scientists, educators, researchers, policymakers, and nonprofit leaders. Bring your business cards and be sure to attend the networking events.

Discounted Registration - A discounted registration rate is available for students interested in attending the Annual Conference. Student groups of five or more from one institution can receive an additional 20% off registration. Consider reaching out to campus organizations to find a group of students interested in attending. Please contact to register a student group.

Volunteer Opportunities - The Annual Conference would not be possible without our conference volunteers. Volunteers commit eight hours of their time during the conference to help monitor sessions, manage registration, and assist attendees. Assignments will be given for each date of the conference; therefore, volunteers must be available January 7, 8, and 9. In exchange for their time, volunteers receive complimentary registration. The call for volunteers closed on October 18, 2019. Accepted volunteers will be notified and provided details regarding their assignment and conference schedule in early November. Volunteers will also receive a virtual training prior to NCSE 2020. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact to be added to the waitlist.
