Leah Izzett is the Special Assistant to the Executive Director at NCSE. She works closely with and supports NCSE’s Executive Director and assists in driving NCSE’s programs and initiatives forward.
Prior to this work, she gained experience in marine conservation program development and community engagement to protect the natural, cultural, and historic resources within the national marine sanctuary system at the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. She also provided environmental consulting services at Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. where she managed permitting projects; coordinated with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies; and conducted field research to support her clients’ project development.
Leah received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy with a concentration in Marine and Coastal Management and a minor in Sustainability Studies from the University of Maryland.
