Webinar: A Critical Juncture for Environmental Governance and Multilateralism Today: Is Science the Silver Bullet?

Strengthening the science-policy interface in global environmental governance has been a goal of international decision-makers since the 2012 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20). Join this webinar on Wednesday, June 5, to examine ways to better integrate science in multilateral processes and to invite scientists to act as agents for change. The Call for Session Proposals and Poster Presentations for the NCSE 2020 Annual Conference is now open. NCSE seeks proposals for sessions, workshops, flash talks, and poster presentations that align with the 2020 conference theme, Science in Environmental Decision-MakingThis is an opportunity to share your research and experiences with colleagues who are actively working in the fields of sustainability, resilience, and education. NCSE Employment Opportunity: Conference and Meetings Planner

NCSE is looking for a Conference and Meetings Planner to plan and execute various events including the NCSE Annual Conference, NCSE Summer and Winter Member Meetings, and regional events focused on a range of issues and programs. Please submit a resume and cover letter to no later than May 31, 2019. Support Young Environmental Leaders

On June 3, NCSE will host the EnvironMentors National Science Fair. This annual event culminates a year long program that focuses on mentorship, environmental research, and college preparation for students underrepresented in the field of science. Three students from each of our chapters around the country will travel to Washington, D.C. to showcase their environmental science project and compete for college scholarships. Scholarship awards support students with tuition, books, and supplies that ease the cost of higher education for our participants. Donate today to this important event


Registration Now Open for NCSE 2019 Summer Member Meeting

Representatives from NCSE Member Institutions may now register for the 2019 Summer Member Meeting taking place at the University of Arkansas from June 24-26. During the Summer Member Meeting, NCSE Member Institutions connect to exchange knowledge and discuss ways in which environmental and sustainability education can improve the scientific basis of environmental decision-making. Attendees will hear from local thought leaders, participate in discussions on an array of topics, network with their peers, and learn about new opportunities through NCSE.
