All sessions and events will take place at the historic Omni Shoreham Hotel (2500 Calvert Street, Washington, DC 20008). NCSE has negotiated a discounted rate of $149 per night plus tax and fees. Housing will open with registration in mid-September. 

Beware of Housing Scams

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from the Omni Shoreham, this is a scam! The hotel will never call NCSE members, attendees, exhibitors, or sponsors to encourage booking. If you receive a call regarding Annual Conference housing do not book a room. You may arrive at the Omni finding that you do not have a room. Never book a room from an email that does not come from an @ncse.org email address.

About the Omni Shoreham

Since 1930 the Four-Diamond Omni Shoreham Hotel has played host to presidents and world leaders plus stars of stage and screen and to presidential inaugural balls making it one of the true historic landmarks in Washington, D.C. Many guest rooms offer spectacular views of the picturesque Rock Creek Park. The health and fitness center offers a heated pool with two lap lanes.  The hotel is located in Northwest Washington only steps away from the National Zoo and near to the many walking-jogging and biking paths of Rock Creek Park.

Getting to the Hotel

The Omni Shoreham is just 1 block from the Woodley Park- Zoo Metro Station on the Red Line.
The hotel is 8 miles from Reagan National Airport and 28 miles from Dulles International Airport.

Traveling to NCSE 2020

Flying to Washington, D.C.

There are three major airports in the Washington, D.C. region:

  • Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (airport code: DCA) - located just across the Potomac River in Virginia. It is the closest airport to D.C. and is a Metro stop on the Blue and Yellow Lines.
  • Washington Dulles International Airport (airport code: IAD) - located 26 miles from DC in suburban Virginia. A taxi ride into DC will cost about $60-$68. You can also take the Silver Line Express Buss to the Silver Metro Line.
  • Baltimore/Washington International Airport (airport code: BWI) - located in Maryland between Baltimore and Washington. A taxi ride into DC will cost about $80-$90. However, you can take the Amtrak train into downtown D.C. for $15-$30.

Ride the Train to Washington, D.C.

Amtrak's Northeast Regional train runs frequently and takes travelers to beautiful Union Station. Union Station is centrally located and features its own Metro Stop. Take the red line directly from Union Station to the Omni Shoreham.
