Kathleen is the senior advisor for EnvironMentors at NCSE. Following her passion for science education, Kathleen has worked with a variety of not-for-profit organizations as an educator, program manager, curriculum developer, writer, and evaluator. At National Geographic Society, Kathleen managed the GeoChallenge, a project-based competition for middle school and elementary students. Prior to that, Kathleen worked on a contract basis, editing graduate level curriculum and conducting a qualitative survey of undergraduate students underrepresented in science. She has extensive experience in educational program development and management for K–12 students. A native of North Carolina, Kathleen majored in archaeology and anthropology at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA.
